Sometimes when an appliance is in stand-by mode it actually uses the same amount of energy when its on! Insane right? Well it’s good to be aware of instances like this. The more aware you are, the more you can actually help yourself to saving more energy and money.

We suggest that you use this chart to figure out what could possibly make your energy bill on the high end, even when you have energy saving appliances. Hint: You can also buy energy meters relatively cheap.
